4th January 2021
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a happy New Year and hope that you have had a relaxing break. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, and I would like to thank all of you, students and families, for the diligence and commitment to creating a school in which we keep each other safe while continuing teaching and learning to such a high standard. This commitment to one another will be required again over the coming period.
At this moment, I have no more information than what has been given out in the media. However, with so much speculation on reopening dates while we await clarity, I would like to assure you as students and parent(s)/guardian(s) that St. Joseph’s is prepared and equipped to provide for tuition should we be required to move to a different form of learning. I would ask you to keep an eye on the school website and media, and assure you we will be in contact as soon as any official notice is communicated with us.
Finally, I would ask of you to re-emphasise the importance of social distancing, reducing number of close contacts, hand hygiene and face masks with your son/s in advance of next week. Should you or they experience any of the symptoms related to COVID 19, I ask you not to send them to school before contacting a GP.
Beir bua agus beannacht,
