Following meeting between the Minister for Education and relevant bodies, it has been confirmed that all students will return to school as per calendar tomorrow morning January 6th.
Schools will continue to implement the COVID Response plan, and new guidelines abut ventilation and air quality will be in effect. Students will continue to be required to wear face coverings and I would ask that homes ensure these are washed regularly/disposed of as required.
Most importantly, it is imperative that students are not sent in displaying any symptoms of COVID 19 (these can be found on HSE website and have been updated since last in school). It is the policy of the school that any students who are displaying symptoms are moved to the isolation room in the school, and home is contacted for the student to be withdrawn.
Teachers will continue to supply work via our online teaching platform (Google Classroom) for students who are under restricted movements/self-isolating.
I would like to thank all parent(s)/guardian(s) for your support to date and over the coming weeks. At each stage, our whole school community has responded excellently to challenging, and often frustrating, circumstances. I anticipate that we will continue to be able to do so and provide your son(s) with the environment they are entitled to.
