Healthy Eating Initiative

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,

From February 19th- March 22nd (between midterm and Easter breaks), the school will be running a healthy eating initative. Specifically, we are focusing on what we drink, and what are healthy options. For this period, the school will be a ‘no energy drinks’ zone. Energy drinks, typically those with high levels of glucose, caffeine, or stimulant will be banned anywhere on the school grounds. Whether open or closed, this will be required to be recycled/disposed immediately. It will not be possible for either students or staff to store these until later in the initative.

This week, students will be informed and taught about energy drinks, and will be informed of the initiative taking place after the break. We would ask all homes to please answer any questions students may have, or to reach out to us if anything is unclear. We would like to ask and thank all homes for support around this, which is in place to both educate the students to healthy diets, and improve what we all consume to best enable us to be part of the school day and life.
