What is the Parents’ Council?
The Parents’ Council is a group that is open to any parent of a student in the school. It is a place where you can meet other parents, ask questions about the school, find out the experience of other parents and get advice. The Council doesn’t have a strict set of activities and is open to new ideas about what it can do to involve parents and to help the school and its staff in their work. It is also a forum for social activity, fundraising and celebrating the achievements of the school.
Where and when does it meet?
The Parents’ Council tries to meet about once a month but participation is welcomed by anyone who wants to get involved and it isn’t necessary to attend every meeting. The school sometimes hosts the meetings but during the Covid pandemic the Parents’ Council continues to be active by meeting online.
How do I get involved?
You can just send an email to the parent’s council email and you will get information on when the next meeting is happening and if you want you can be added to an email list so you will get this information regularly. If you ever want to leave the mailing list you just have to send a message to ask – the Parents’ Council welcomes even occasional contact from you.

The school has a very active and vibrant Parents’ Association and Council. This is open to all parents/guardians of current students, and everyone is very welcome at any level of involvement they feel they can contribute. Below is a PDF of information useful to all parents, as well as contact email and names of current parent representatives on the Council.
The following are some of the activities in which Parents’ Council might be involved:
- Arranging talks on topics of interest to parents, e.g. guest speaker on parenting/discipline etc.
- Providing support/organisational input to major school events, e.g. graduations
- Channeling parent’s views on school policy issues to the Principal/Board.
- Organising Fund Raising Events for the school.
