Christmas Letter from Ms McDonnell

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As we approach the joyous season of Christmas, I would like to take this opportunity to
reflect on the year gone by and extend my heartfelt gratitude to each member of the St.
Joseph’s Secondary School community.

2024 has been a year filled with learning, growth, and remarkable achievements. Our students
have excelled not only academically but also in extracurricular activities, showcasing their
talents and dedication. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work of our
students and the unwavering support of parents, guardians, and staff.

Christmas is a time for celebration, reflection, and togetherness. It reminds us of the values of
kindness, generosity, and compassion that we hold dear at St. Joseph’s. This year, I have been
particularly proud of our students’ efforts to give back to the community through various
charitable initiatives. Their sense of empathy and social responsibility is reflective of the
school ethos and the Edmund Rice Charter.

To our parents and guardians, thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a
nurturing, supportive and caring environment for your children. Your commitment and
encouragement are key to their success.

To our students, best of luck in the exam this week. However once they have finished I hope
you enjoy the well-deserved break, take time to relax and recharge. Treasure moments with
family and friends, and carry forward the spirit of joy and peace into the New Year.
On behalf of all the staff at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, I wish you a Christmas filled with
love, laughter, and happiness. May 2025 bring new opportunities, success, and good health
for all.

Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain Faoi Mhaise Daoibh!
