On Friday 13th April 2024, the first ever Leaving Certificate PTech class graduated at a ceremony held in The Convention Centre. This programme, piloted by the three founding schools has now expanded to include a second cohort of included schools, a number of industry partners, Government departments and other agencies.
The students of St. Joseph’s Fairview, Larkin Community College, and Marino College have undertaken this programme since 2nd year in Junior Cycle. On the graduation day, they were awarded with Certificates from the National College of Ireland signifying their progress, and the fact they engaged with a programme beyond the traditional Leaving Cert. The Minister for Education Norma Foley also had a message for them on the day congratulating them and acknowledging they had led the way in a significant development in Irish education and curriculum within their school.
Below are some pictures from the day. Well done to all students involved. They have paved the way for all of the cohorts coming behind them, and created a future with huge strength of experience and skills already behind them.
