Our school HEADSTRONG committee have started their journey for another year to further promote positive mental health and resilience in our school. The first event was a spinathon with a series of fitness challenges and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions. This event was held on the 24th of October and the main aim of the event was to illustrate the links between physical exercise and positive mental health. Students from each year group were able to participate and a total of €230 was raised for the Zambia 2020 trip.
Thank you to Louise Shanley who led the HIIT sessions, Ballybough Kickboxing Club who sponsored our raffle prize, Glanmore foods for all of the healthy treats and Darragh Hanaphy Fitness for giving us the spinning bikes!
