Physical Health and Exercise

Games and Sport have always been a massive part of life here in Scoil Iósaif. Each year group is timetabled for ‘Games’ one afternoon per week. Over their time in the school, this consists of Football, Basketball, Tennis, Pool, Walking, Rounders, amongst others events.

The school also has teams and individual sports that we compete at a high level in. In recent years we have had huge success in Athletics and Soccer, and we boast a strong tradition of GAA. Newer sports to the school such as basketball have also seen growth, and the team has progressed to a number of Dublin finals.

Physical health and sport is very important to the greater well-being and development of our students. This is valued and made a priority here in the school. Whether it is aiming for success or capitalising on the mental and physical benefits of exercise, there is an avenue for this here in the school.
