After having such success in the Dublin City Finals, the Mind Matters team progressed on to the National final of the Student Enterprise Awards. The group have sold over 250 copies of the book to date and all money raised will be donated to Jigsaw, Dublin City, a mental health organisation that provides counselling to young people free of charge.
23000 students entered the competition in September and only 77 schools qualified for the National Final on the 2nd of May. The competition was fierce but our students worked to such a high standard that they placed in the top 4 schools in Ireland! The team won the Special Merit Award at the event AND were invited to a Business Bootcamp event in Delphi this summer! The 5 groups chosen for the bootcamp were selected as they showed the best potential to become future entrepreneurs.
A huge amount of time and effort has gone into this book since it began in September. With a County final and National final under our belt, the students will most definitely enjoy the bootcamp in June!
